School is out or just about out for some and you have no idea what you will be doing. No summer is complete without lots of fun activities for the kids to do. Today we’re talking about all the fun things you can do with your little ones because this blog is all about family. So, yeah, we’re going to look at a long list of fun summer activities you can do with your kids. Feel free to print this list out and let the kids choose which ones to do first and you can mark them off as you go.

I remember growing up as a child. Summer was my favorite thing, ever! Learning was and still is my thing but when it was time to take a break I was ready. Included in this list are some of the things that I really enjoyed doing as a little girl. Yes, times have changed with all of the fancy gadgets, internet, and technology. But these are really fun summer activities that the whole family can enjoy!

Some of the summer activities that I will include may not be available in your particular area so this could call for a fun family road trip if you’re up to it!

Fun Summer Activities for Families

  1. Build a fort using sheets and pillows
  2. Have a pillow fight
  3. Build a sandcastle
  4. Have a picnic at the playground
  5. Go rollerskating
  6. Ride bikes through the park
  7. Jump rope or double dutch

Whew! I know that was a lot to take in but pause…you don’t have to consume this list all at once. Copy and paste this list onto a word document and print it out. You can use it when it’s convenient for you and your family. After one activity is complete you can move on to the next. You can do this in any order that you feel.

You don’t want your children to be bored so why not see how many of these activities you can do together. Many children have a short attention span so a lot of these activities are super quick or can be shortened. Time does fly when you’re having fun so hopefully, this will be the case for your kids. I hope this list provides you and your family with a lot to do.
