Quick Story – Cedrick
When I was a small girl someone brought me and my sister a dog. He was mixed with Chow Chow and Golden Retriever. We named him Cedrick.
At that time Cedrick was the best friend a little girl like me could ever have!
No, really! He listened when I talked and he was always there for me. He was my everything.
One day, Cedrick got hurt really bad and we’re still not sure what happened but the dog pound came to pick him up.
It seems there was nothing they could do to save him.
My little heart was broken. My sister and I cried and cried and cried some more.
Cedrick was a good dog and he never hurt anyone and he was so playful. He didn’t deserve this.
Fast forward a few years later and a close friend of the family gave me and my sister a black labrador puppy. She was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen with her silky black fur.
I was so happy to have her. And she was precious to me so we named her Diamond. When we got home we bathed her and made a bed for her to sleep in. For some odd reason, I began sneezing non-stop.
Our mother came to the conclusion that I must be allergic to Diamond so we had to give her away. The family that we gave her to accidentally let her run into the street and she was hit and killed by a car.
Even though Diamond wasn’t my puppy anymore I was still very hurt because in my mind she would always be my puppy.
Whenever I think of Cedrick or Diamond I think of all the dogs in the world.
It is because of my own experience that I can sit here and say that we must keep our dogs safe.
We love our fur babies and the last thing we want is for something to happen to them.
I don’t want any of you to know the pain I felt when Cedrick and Diamond were taken from me.
Maybe you’re wondering what you can do to keep your dog safe.

Setup a GPS Tracker
One fail-proof way to make sure your dog is safe at all times is to set them up on a GPS tracker. This will also ensure that you know their every move.
Dogs tend to be very fast and they can sometimes get away from us. It is also likely that they won’t know how to get back home, depending on how far from home they have strayed.
It happens. No worries, though! With the use of a GPS tracker, you can simply open an app on your phone and see your dog’s exact location. This tracker will help you quickly find them and bring them home, safely.
So, you’re probably wondering where you can find something like this to purchase. Right?
Don’t worry, I got you!
Two GPS trackers that you can purchase for your dog or cat (because cats need love, too!) are:

This pet care product has a 4.8-star rating (nearly 5-stars) based on 166 reviews.
Whistle 3 is great, and a lot of fun for you and your pet. I have been using the service since it was called TAGG. The Whistle 3 is much faster and offers more information. I live on four acres and the dogs have the run of the place. They do get out of range of the home Wifi and if I ever have a question about where they are a look at the Whistle app tells me. I use the activity monitor to judge how much to feed based on the calories in their dog food. My three stay at a healthy weight and I can always tell if they are home. – John Stancoff, Real Whistle User.
Custom ID Tag
A custom ID tag is a great idea! Period.
At the Pet DMV, you can create an official pet ID license for your fur baby. This license has identifiable information like name, address, and Date of birth.
This ID looks a lot like a doggy driver’s license but don’t give them the car keys. I’m warning you, it’s a bad idea (haha)!
Hire a Pet Sitter
Sometimes you have to leave your puppy behind.
I would suggest first seeking out a friend or relative that wouldn’t mind puppy sitting for you.
If you can’t get anyone to do it don’t fret. I’m about to share with you something great!
